Recycling and Repairs
Good morning all.
Nephew has a Kubota T1770 with a broken gear in the Hydrostatic transmission.
I've been trying to find a Parts Manual to verify the actual transmission details, but without buying one from Kubota for $60+, the best I can find (so far) is it may be a HydroGear 311-2000 (K1132-11112).
I've asked for a photo of the Kubota model label and one from the Transmission label to help identify the actual details. Hoping he will get these for me on Tuesday afternoon.
In the meantime, I can't find anything here where anyone has requested information on Kubota ride-on mowers, or any information on Hyrostatic Gear boxes, for example Hydro Gear and Peerless.
I think it would be handy to have a section on "Transaxles" or "Transmissions", which in my mind is the most expensive part of a mower to replace, let alone find parts, where members can share information?
I have a few .pdf files I can contribute for HydroGear, including some Service Manuals.
Thank you for your time.

Good morning Bruce and thank you for your assistance.

Your above Parts Diagram is very helpful and indicates the transaxle as being K1132-11110 which, from what I have just read, has now been replaced by K1132-11120, being a HST3500. Referencing this, it appears to be from the Hydro-Gear GT-3500 series, which has about 8 different models, so it looks like I will still need my nephew to get a copy of the transaxle identification label to verify the actual part reference numbers to confirm his actual installed.

As a side note, Transaxle parts K1132-11110, K1132-11120 and K1082-11110 are not listed in my 2009 HydroGear Cross Reference information, but I do have K1132-11111 and K1082-11111, along with the list of GT-3500 series models.

I am using the 2009 Hydro-Gear Cross Reference Tables found here, from Outdoor Distributors: -

http://www.outdoordistributors.com/...ross_reference_-And-_Service_Pricing.pdf

A couple of sites I have found helpful for exploded transaxle diagrams are: -

K&T Parts House
http://www.mymowerparts.com/pdf/Hyd...-Parts-Lists-and-Service-Repair-Manuals/

M & D Mower and Appliance
https://www.m-and-d.com/Hydro-Gear_parts.html

Also from M & D Mower and Appliance, I have their Model Cross-Reference sheets
https://www.m-and-d.com/pdfs/hydrogear/HYD_Model_Xref.pdf

Just confirms the fact that one needs to have full details of the equipment being repaired before any serious effort can be made to find parts.

Have you thought about writing to hydro gear? I had a similar problem with a gearbox on a toro mower and wrote to General Transmissions and they were able to send me a diagram and supply me with a part which is unavailable in Australia. There is probably not much difference between the models apart from outside body configuration. What is actually broken. An internal or external part. Single model hydro gears are usually non serviceable and mower repair shops take that a step further and also say they are non repairable which is not usually the case for a home mechanic. As I said, contact Hydro Gear and they should be able to help.

Good morning all.
Doubts have been clarified with a photo of the transmission label received from my nephew (below).

The actual Hydro-Gear transmission in my nephews Kubota T1770 is a K1082-11111 model 315-2000, being one of the GT-2000 series models. :-)
Have now sourced the specific exploded parts diagram for the 315-2000 and am waiting on Scott (nephew) to call in and advise which gear (or gears) is the one that he has broken.
The parts I think he needs for the 315-2000 are the same as the 311-2000 and are available from the USA.
Until Scott verifies the part, there's not much I can do to see if I can get them here in Oz.
Thank you for your assistance, and have a great day.
