Hello exfarmer
The sticker dates it to when the Challenge Corp. had control of Morrison. The best I can do is mid-1970s to late 1970s. It is a fully-imported Morrison.
This is a cheapened design in that a similar system was used in the Scott Bonnar Diplomat. There is a plastic reduction gear within the rear roller. A single clutch does the lot.
Note: when I say 'cheapened' - I don't mean cheap. The reduction design enabled the use of one belt (replacing three chains). The issue now is parts availability. It appears there may be a problem with the degradation of the plastic ring gear.
What I have been trying to find out is whether there is any commonality between the Diplomat reduction, the Morrison, and brands still sold today with that design concept.
Hope this helps. ------------------------------ Jack

Thanks Jack, You have confirmed my thoughts on the age. I will take the roller out and check the ring gear for size and post photos and sizes for future reference.
Thanks again Andy

Pulled the roller out to find the plastic ring gear is almost like new. The steel pinion is also in good condition. The roller has 79 teeth and the pinion 12. Roller outside diam is 7 5/8 in, inside to gear points 6 3/8in pinion 1 3/8in. Sorry vernier only have imperial measure (I need new set) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2016/03/full-9052-27398-win_20160306_153039.jpg)

G'day exfarmer That's really good information. It appears to be a far better (more solid) design than the Diplomat's --------------------------- Jack
