Here I use a MityVac Silverline 8500 model but I don't know if that manufacture's products are even available in your area. Thanks AVB. Looks like a useful unit, anyone know if we can get them here or even something similar?

A bit more exy than in the US, but not too bad if you buy direct from the distributor. http://mityvac.com.au/product/mityvac-silverline-elite-hand-pump-kit/

Thanks Gadge, more than I thought it would be but would come in useful for other things as well. I have a car cooling system problem at the moment and this may come in useful to see where the slow leak is coming from.
