So it's my wife's birthday and I am giving her my garage. We do a lot of ballroom and rock 'n roll dancing. She wants to practice at home but we don't have room inside.

I'm turning my garage into a dance studio over the weekend.

I am now forced to sell nearly my whole to do list of mowers!

I was planning to clear some out and get a bigger boat but now I just lose everything!!! cry

I'm having a one weekend only clear out.12/02 - 13/02 If you're in Adelaide and interested in coming down to check out what you want I have (Among others)

'63 Pace Pioneer with catcher (Beautiful)
'64 Pope 320-07 with clinton 4 stroke, catcher and windrower
'69 Victa Corvette with catcher
'78ish Victa Power Plus with catcher (not original I believe)
'69 Sunbeam lawnkeeper 2 no catcher
'75ish Pope something (can't remember) 2 stroke
'60ish Turner-morrison golden rotary with catcher
'55ish Atco cylinder with catcher(kick start)(I know nothing about these - bought it on a whim) runs but needs new reel
'78ish scott bonnar 720 (I think) with catcher
I'm sure a few more but off the top of my head don't know.

These are all my yet to be restored mowers. Some have been tidied up and were running well. Some have never run since I've had them. I have not even looked at any of these for months and months as I've been too busy at work.

Take them all for $650 or make me an offer for whatever you want. I also have random bits and pieces for random repairs. Pretty much if it's in my garage it's for sale cry

I'm in Elizabeth. Have a ute so can assist with delivery if needed. I just need space ... my number is 0420946773

Pete.

Sorry to hear of your loss mate. It's a shame your so far away or like most of the blokes around here I'd be there. I hope this doesn't dishearten your mower enthusiasm. Perhaps she'd "like" a restored mower for wall art?

Unfortunately she thinks they're a waste of time.

I sill have a container load of restored machines in a storage yard. Eventually I'll bring them home when I build a 2nd garage.

Still keeping a couple of smaller side wheels to restore and a few outboards. Just the space taking machines have to go. Or maybe not. If they don't sell this weekend I need to find somewhere to put them. If I do they'll stay there.

Some photos ...

The HG Palmer runs but needs a carby kit - could be a perfect doner engine for the Turner Morrison, pope 4 stroke ran but not well and the pull cord snapped. I can't find the windrower for it at the moment but it's in my garage somewhere. The VC160 runs - I've just removed the dress cowl and zip starter (Can't remember why now). Comes with spare catcher, starter, fuel tank and dress cowl, Atco runs but has water in the carb, pope 2 stroke runs but needs carby clean, power plus runs perfectly, not sure now what else is there without looking at the photos myself.

Also there is a side discharge chute for a low arch victa. I sold the mower when I couldn't find the chute. Turns out it was in the VC160 catcher.

Also have 3 NOS pope tyres. Have some very interesting manuals and documentation (Mainly for Victa but some others too. If you're interested in it yell out and I'll post some photos. Too much to clog up the forum with now.

More photos of the mowers in question to come.

Pete

The Corvette comes with a replacement air filter housing. Have a spare catcher in poor condition for it too. The 2 stroke pope comes with a pull starter and cup to convert it.

The Pace needs a fuel cap (Not hard to find). It also still has the original spanner!

Update;

A few of the mowers gone. Lots still just sitting in my carport. Still need them gone - any takers just call/message me.

Kathryn's Birthday went well and the floor has now had 6 coats of varnish, 4 coats of polish, been buffed to within an inch of it's life and had plenty of time to cure. It's now ready. Not a huge floor - only 3.6m X 2.4m but it's big enough to practice on.

Turned out OK. Getting the piano in there was the hard part!

Can you find room in the yard and build a bigger shed. Would be less mowing, but.... :-) Sorry to here of your loss, but I guess the birthday girl got a nice present.

Kye; Perhaps - I'll have a look through. Anything in particular you're looking for?

Bushy; I have plenty of room to build a new shed BUT I'd end up losing that too. She has 2 sewing rooms inside the house and is looking for more space for her projects! Think I just need to lay back and accept my fate frown

Hi Kye,

In my travels the other day I fell across an old Pace Lawnmower Box in the loft of an old shed. If I recall correctly it was for a Pace "Special" ?? Mk II. I'm not totally sure but I climbed up a ladder to find it was full of old books and lots of Rat Poo and thus was some what turned off and got down off the ladder.

I know that old lawnmower boxes are hard to find as generally they are always turfed out. I should've taken a photo to show you.

Let me know if you have any interest and I'm sure I could go back again.

Cheers,
BB

Kye,

If it helps I am driving up to Crows Nest (Just north of Toowoomba) from Adelaide in August for my brother in laws wedding.

Postage will be costly for a box as you will have to put the box in a box and postage will be calculated on the size not weight. If you're interested in it I'll bring it up for you for a 6 pack (Just not XXXX though) laugh

Pete, that would be great! I might just see if BB can get some pics first, if I like it then we will have to sort something out! Patrick i'm sure my dad could run into the bottle-o and grab a carton, i have to pay him back afterwards. Thanks for that Pete, hopefully we can sort something out!

Not to forget a box like that can be collapsed down into an Ikea Flat Pack.

Cheers,
BB
