The model 2 came out with the 'top hat' pulley the model 2A had a flat top pulley I now have two model 2 with the flat top pulley and I have seen a few others model 2 with flat top pulley
It seams strange that they were all replaced with a model 2A pulley early in their life when the pulleys lasted many many years and how many people have never replaced the pulley so if the flat top pulley is wrong on the model 2 why were they replaced
I think that the flat top pulley was started to be fitted somewhere through the production life of the 2

Been doing some searching mate.all I see is 2a with the dished pulley? Vintage mower site said the dished 2 part pulley was unique to the 2a ,and only a handful were put on mod 3.The flat top pulleys are unfortunately a dime a dozen so to speak. But the top hat pulley and especially the dished pulley are worth considerably more.i see a person on eBay selling a dished pulley for a 2 A for a whopping $300. Hope someone else can add to this topic cheers2
