Seems as I seem to have hijacked "Re: Early Victa: Oddities and Anecdotes" I thought I might as a few questions over here open to everyone
How much grass do you have and how many mowers?

I live on 5 acres in the Golden Plains district which roughly translates to "Sh!tty dry grass. No rain"
yet I still have
a tractor with a 4.5' slasher and a finger mower
5 ride ons
about 15??? mowers. some work
6 kiwi ride on mowers.

I'm surprised you have enough grass for the Kiwi mowers laugh

Unfortunately they get priority. It grinds me to have to buy bales to feed them. Although I do get to eat the lambs.
I do get my mower fix cutting my dads grass with his VC 160 MK3. He loves it because it doesn't have one of those bloody plastic carbys. I don't think he trusts those new fandangle gizmos yet!

Hello slashnburn and Norm

I have absolutely no grass.
I have 5 lawnmowers: 2 x petrol; 2 x push hand mowers; 1 x electric.
Is this wrong?

G'day slashnburn and Norm

Thanks for the reassurance Norm.
Slashnburn, whenever someone says "at least one more" I cannot help but think of this...
With lawnmower collecting, I never skimp on the Pt.

Monty Python is just timeless. That was before I was a twinkle in my old mans eye. Their work stands the test of time. Much like a full crank Victa I guess!

At my previous address we had small patch of lawn about 8x6m. When the drought hit we mowed it low and put down crushed rock. 16 months ago we moved onto a golf course, 500 acres. We have no grass. Body corporate mows from the course rough to our fence line. Our nature strip was ferral , so when the golf course groundmen riped up a few tees, i scored some and layed it out. This year i have a bent grass couch nature strip which i mow with a cylinder push mower. its a bit light so i am fixing up my rexmow mower and will be using it.

Nothing wrong, Jack. Mower ownership is obviously in inverse proportion to the amount of grass to be cut. In other words, those 300k mowers sold per year Norm was talking about go to those with the least use for them. At least they are (were) propping up an industry?!?

To paraphrase an old bumper sticker:
Quote
"Old mowers never die, they just lose their grass"
(And both my parents were teachers)

P.S. I own one mower...currently! grin
