I have seen a few bits for sale around Geelong Vic that may be of interest to someone so here they are:

This is at the scrap metal along with a Victa 18 that's seen better days two low arch 125s and what I think is a low arch kirby.

These are on the back of a truck out Moriac way. The bloke is a scrappy. The rotary is a simpson 2S Heavy Duty with a metal catcher for $10
The reel was missing carby and bits for $20

Nah Pope. Nothing caught my eye enough. I am curious on that Simpson I've never heard of them before and looks like quite a reasonable machine. It looks too new to have a metal catcher I thought.

The Simpson looks sort of like a Pope to me.

Yes,apparently Simpson pope amalgamated.so I guess that's why it looks like a pope as we know it.

Hello all,

Yes, two great SA companies merged.
Simpson Pope Holdings Limited (1963 - 1979)
Formed through the merger of Pope Industries Limited and
Simpson Distributors Limited in mid 1963.

The company name was changed in 1979 to Simpson Holdings Limited.
The 'Pope' brand name was sold to Toro Australia.

Hi Mod CJ,

Just to clarify the merger of the two companies then became "Simpson Pope Ltd" which manufactured washers and fridges for many years.

Cheers,
BB
