Well, I was moving with the victa corvette the other day and accidentally knocked the front of the motor on a very low tree branch. The motor then died and has not run since. The motor is a Victa 725 190cc (will look at getting engine number when I can). When you move the throttle lever, the throttle on the carb does not move. It seems like the spring which connects the swivelling arm to the governor linkage has not enough tension (apologise for probably using false terminology). Could it be something wrong with the governor or is it the linkage that said spring attaches to toward the front of the mower. The linkage has a very slight bend towards the rear of the mower, and I'm thinking it may have been bent and will need readjusting so it bends down towards the front.

Would very much appreciate any help with this. Will try to post pics when I figure out how.

Thanks.

Hi MGW, and welcome to ODK.
I'm guessing (without seeing any pics) that you are correct, Straighten the tab if needed and then pull it outwards to apply more tension to the spring; not too much though, 4-5mm initially and then adjust according to revs. The 190cc quantum engines should rev at about 2900-3000rpm at full throttle.
