This may be coming into my care with a bit of luck.
I cannot find a pic of it.
Any ideas about what motor would be on it.

Cheers
Sean

they are a great little ute from the 70's , tough as nails, and as has already been said ,will take any full crank motor, perfect if you have something with a busted chassis, but still only worth the price of a s/h ute.

Just tell her they are very common, which they were just cause it has original paint doesn't make it worth more. It's a mower not a car.

I'd pay one dollar for it maybe go as high as two if it had it's original wheels which it doesn't...

Or it could be worth-

I told her i could not accept such a rare gift as advised, well today she brought it to bingo with her and gave it to me with great pomp and ceremony in front of everyone. How do i get myself in situations like this?
Can of coke and a kitkat sounds good is that with postage?

Sean, that's up there with the best of Sean of the Lawn quotes.

So ... I guess that's not a walking frame then?
I think Victa started using these locking bars in about 1969 (on Utes).
It would be an interesting question as to what AUS maker first used them.
Member Blumbly might know that.

This was a great, quick - and simple - mechanism.
You would not see this on entry-level machines nowadays.
Just cheap plastic knobs.

Get a handle on it.

I think Victa started using these locking bars in about 1969 (on Utes).
The first Victa to use the type of handle locking system was in fact the 1968-69 New Utility model 550.Before that they had the fold down handles as well as the double bar setup.
Hmm women.
Anyway I think there were similar handles off other mowers but I'm not sure they were the same. The same idea anyway.
Sorry I'm off to the club.
