I was going to ask for help but found the solution myself. This mower sold as a limited edition legend with V40 2 stroke engine was revving far too fast and slowed under load. I found the tube connecting to cooling blower air stream had come adrift and thus no longer providing pressure to the actuator attached to the carb which is actually the governor. Ive replaced the blades also. It is like new now. Im giving this to my daughter who has just bought her first home. Ive bought an Aldi 4 stroke self propelled which Im happy with. If there is interest Ill write about this.
good catch there dave48 most of the time it is a simple fix and good you did before it did some damage too ! didnt know ALDI made mowers too but seems they're into almost anything now huh . what type of engine does it have ? or same as sanli maybe ??
