Hmmm...
Mate, I don't think anyone mentioned 'paint spraying' - but I do understand
if they thought that. To clarify this for members:
Singer offered three kits -
Kit No.1 was the pump;
Kit No.2 was the compressor (for spray painting), and;
Kit No.3 was the all-purpose garden and tree spray.
Ian has Kit No.3...So, will you spray the roses for aphids, or the lawn with fertilizer?
Ian, I'm interested in these questions for the record.[1] I feel the Singer advertising is misleading in that it presents these kits as
available for 'Singer lawnmowers'. I believe the PTO option was only available
for the side discharge machines (like yours). Is that true?
[2] The PTO option was not available on the original side-discharge machines.
What I don't know is whether the PTO machines were equipped that way from the
factory - or whether the PTO kit was, itself, an accessory.
Any information most welcome.In any case, yes, this is a very rare machine.
I hope more Singers will turn-up in the future - now they are known!
Ian, congratulations on your foresight in saving this mower and accessory.
