Hey everyone, I thought i would post up my collection of early rovers and greenfields , i also have some rare documentation for the early ranchers and accessories. Here is a group pic

I have a colt major, ranger, 2 of my rancher 2's and my rare HD10 greenfield that does the regular mowing.

Here is a current pic of my rancher restoration

I will be able to post more on the weekend

Nice!
Haven't seen one of those 'handlebar' Rovers in the flesh since Dad got fed up with the cranky old B&S that was on the one he had and bought a shiny new Greenfield (which is still my daily drive). That was in the early eighties

Thanks for the comments! The rancher resto is a long term project, i started on it about 4 years ago, but i am slowly making some progress. Here is a couple of pics i took recently of the slasher deck mounted on a rancher. Apologies for the rusty rancher, it cost me $90 but needs rings.

Hello nath

That's a great collection! That 'Rover Blue' looks spot-on.
Yes, we are keen to see that documentation!

That photo of the Ranger with a huge Briggs 14 twin is hilarious.
I don't think it will be that stressed driving a little Ranger.

All very Rover.

Thanks, yeah I am a bit of a rover fan, the one I am restoring was given to me by an old friend years ago and it has sort of grown from there. I am actually picking up another greenfield in the morning!

Morning all,

I was just trawling around the threads and suddenly realised something (I think).

The Greenie at the far right of Naths collection, which is the one he refers to as the HD10 (?)......

Judging by the axle details in the photo, that's a horizontal shaft machine.......so that makes 3.

Sorry Nath, I didn't realise what you were showing us when you first posted.

G'day folks,

You could well be correct, prd. Pity we don't have a detail pic of that Greenie, but it does look like it has a steel fuel tank, which would be correct for a horizontal shaft Briggs of that era.

The 8hp [191702] and 10/11hp 25 cu in vertical shaft Briggs fitted to the 'Tractor' series all had plastic fuel tanks.

Cheers,
Gadge
