Hi All !
weird situation.
maybe its the way i try to start it.
1. I open choke lever.
2. i turn the switch on.
3. new plug (the right type)
4. click the throttle in to the starting position
5. pull sharply on cord to start -

doesnt even kick a little after 15 pulls.
<floods>
new plug and all !

** it will start when flooded tho by full throttle then pull - thens its ok -- runs well then, idles perfectly. just wont start cold ..

Has anyone ideas/experience similar ?

thanks

forgot to mention.
* It has a new fuel filter in the tank, the white plastic type.
* also i just adjusted the h,l idle screws as directed - successfully.
* has new air filter too.

i know its flooding also by the smell of fuel. thought the new plug wouldve helped - its a champion brand

gregc,

1. You could have a oil seal leak on the crankshaft.

2. The diaphrams might be old and stiff.

3. The cylinder could be scored slightly.

4. The rings could be worn.

5. The carby needle might not be seating properly causing fuel to go past it.

Hope that this is of some help.
