Hi there,we recently brought this mower second hand and the governor spring was missing which I have replaced and also didn't have throttle attached, please can someone advise me where to attach the throttle cable please as I'm at a complete loss!

What's the cable running to the right of the governor? Or is that a spring?

this one has a mechanical governor, I do belive earlier versions of the 500 series (Yours is 2010, mine is 2012, fresh from the tips metal pile) had a more traditional air vane setup (with a loop that the springs connect to)

Yeah got the air vane model.
So the throttle cable pushes and pulls the governor? It's quite stiff even after some WD40 and don't seem like the cable would be able to push it closed..?
