Can't see your picture. If all those other things are okay my guess is crankcase seals.

Check the spark arrestor isn't blocked, if it has one.

Also, try a bit of aerostart in the plug hole and, replace plug and see if it fires.

Take the flywheel off and check the locating key. It might have sheared off which will change the timing

Seanw, have you inspected the spark arrestor in the exhaust is fully clean and not blocked as bigted has asked as I have had a similar problem in the past and was as simple as cleaning the spark arrestor and a new air filter.

Thanks mate this support is unreal. I have too many projects on the go. About 60% success rate. I knew nothing about small motors about 4 months ago. Wish it would warm up so I can go out the back at night and tinker. My missus recons it calms me??? thanks again for all the input. will try not to bother you all too much? Sean

Hey Gizmo, I have one of the Talon versions that I got from the dump. It was complete including the bar cover. The primer bulb was shot so I ordered one for it and when I went to replace it the fuel lines disintegrated in my hands so I replaced them as well and it goes like a champ. But you're right, even running well they are still a piece of crap. :)
