have been watching this with interest on ebay the last few weeks. it caught my eye as it had a low starting price and i was curious to see what it would eventually sell for. pointless me even making a bid cos i kinda knew it would go off.

If my collection is complete ( then how come i keep buying stuff ? ) 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
It's been very interesting to watch them go up in price.Like 12 months to 2 years ago you would only get $120 to $150 for them. Now that's the second one I've seen in the last 6 months sold for $300 plus. I suppose it fits in with what a whole mower sells for. Here's one that sold in October last year for $966,of which it didn't have the original engine on it.I know I already have one but I would have liked one of these ones.Just couldn't spend that much on an mower, not until I become rich and famous, bugger which reminds me I'd better hurry up and get it done.
...and another that sold in June 2014 for $800 which had more of the original parts on it.Like the original engine and throttle control.
Thanks for the pics, just looking at the choke on the second one. Is that style of Victa logo period correct for Rotomos ? When did they use the sad face Victa logo ?
Another model that is ridiculously overinflated! I just missed one that went for 350$ Offered him 500 but he was honest and respected the first offer rule. So No worries.
Throttle is correct, Sad face should be correct From Model 1 up until Model 4 Auto. That toe guard is Special, Not Rotomo. Fuel tap could be either early Roto or Cigar.
Ive seen 3 sell recently by private sale, and all have been under 400$
Yes they are rare, but cashed up buyers on Thievebay are over inflating prices and putting them out of reach.
In comparison, The rarer Model 1 and transitional 2s are currently running at below 50% less.
There are also many replicas around, made up from parts and incorrect engines.
If you want one, be patient they are still around. If you want to spend 1k, then make sure it has the correct engine, and every part is there.
