Got a message to pick up a mower from somebody's house,so I went for a little drive and found this creature awaiting me.
[Linked Image]
A Victa utility base with a Suzuki 2 stroke engine.
Not really how Victa had sitting at dealers store, but interesting none the less.
I'm not going to use this engine so if anybody wants it please let me know.I'm told that it runs,I'm going to stick a little fuel in it and see what happens.

Not sure what I'll do with the base yet but I guess I'll work something out with it.Might just put a 2 stroke engine on it as it was when it was made and just use it.Not sure yet.
Just thought I'd show you another after market (back yard) improvement.

If you're gonna use it as a daily driver why not leave it with the suzuki 2 stroke. They're not a bad engine when they're running right.

The suzuki is a powerful little engine that cuts through longer grass than usual with no trouble at all, reliable when looked after . I know a contractor that uses these engines all the time and swears by them.

No bigted I'm not keeping it.I have way to many mowers now so I have no use for it.Still not sure what I'll do with it after the engine comes off.Maybe paint and put something more original and sell it off,but not keep I can't keep everything.

Don't get blinded by the lights boys....... bday ( yes i know that's not the right con!! ) but the point is.....unless that was a powertalk base, it's most likely going to be stuffed by the suzi fitted mod ??

It's more the base has been drilled as it has the rover cutting disc under it.So the base has been modified not the engine.

So can you still use the base to fit a victa engine?

Sure. I would have some doubts about the blade disc position with the current engine though, unless it has spacers under its mounting points.

Victa 4-strokes have always used special 'short PTO shaft' engines, to match the 2-strokes. So ex-Victa 4-stroke engines can't be used on any other make of deck.

Cheers,
Gadge
