Repro Parts?
There are 6 easily Noticeable faults. Some big, some small.
1 Incorrect engine/Serial for MK 2, Also appears to have an issue with fly to coil plate clearance.
Model 1 Pulley
Incorrect Top cover and screws
No Engine Spacers
Model 2 Rotomo front Axles
Incorrect exhaust bracket
Fan is accurate styling, but it appears to have been worked as they are generally not this smooth.
possible replica.
Ive never seen or heard of a manifold to have been replicated, so Im assuming its real.
There seem to be discrepencies with the base. Badge just looks a little to close to the rim for me.
Im certain you cannot put a Mk 2 Midget Engine on a fan base without spacers as the casing would hit.
The hole positioning of the engine seems fine on the base though, so Its hard to tell if its definately a real base and not a redrill. But it looks ok.
Im thinking this has been restored as a PART Project.
A couple of other things caught my eye, but arent worth a mention.
Worth it? Maybe the start would be the max price IF the base/chassis manifold, bracket and fan are genuine. There are close to 1k in single sale parts there, if this is the case.
I guess the point here as with many rare mowers, is that they should be listed as Incomplete" or incorrect so the unwary arent ripped off.
To make it perfect....Who knows? Add another 500+ For the engine, Clingcast Pulley and other incorrect parts.
Anyways Just my opinion and Not a Mower I would buy in Restored Condition as not all can be seen.
Over priced? Some would say yes, but with what can be seen, I dont think its a total rip off. A Fan assy if genuine, manifold, tin wheels and correct chassis are expensive parts and hard to obtain...Personally I would pay up to 1k and revert it back to 100% Original IF the correct parts shown can be proven to be originals.
Anyways Again, this is my opinion only, others may not be so generous...
