Hi to Everyone at ODK! I'm looking for a Scott Bonnar 720 that's suitable for restoration. I know on other threads i'm pro Rover but the blue series handle bars are just too low for me and the SB720's have an adjustable set of bars and they are shaped better. I'm after one to recondition so I can actually use it to cut grass - can you believe it?! All my other machines are garage Queens and never cut a blade in anger. Anyhoo if you have one or know of one that isn't completely stuffed with chunks of alloy missing or the engine has thrown a leg out of bed... let me know. Cheers and Happy New Year to All!

Hope a member has something for you. And Keep trawling ebay as thet come up occasionally....:) I have a few brochures and model info for 520/720 but ive never seen this one. Might be of use when your looking for models...I think this model is the earliest version of the 720 and you dont see these often... others will confirm for sure. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2014/12/full-5599-19377-2014_12_29_18.20.13.png)

Hi Blu, Yes you are spot on as this is the introductory version of the 720 model with the impulse starter, I think what Unimog is looking for is probably the more common 1980's 520 / 720 version that sports the Briggs and Stratton motor and the Black catcher similar to the one below. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2014/12/full-5156-19379-sb_thoroughbred.jpg) This one is the Thoroughbred version of the 520 Chassis, just a marketing name. Cheers, BB

Here is the pair in question from the 1978 Product Line.... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2012/03/full-1147-5530-scan0020_large.jpg) Both fine looking machines. Unimog, good luck and good hunting.
Please do not PM me asking for support. Please post your questions in the appropriate forums, as the replies it may receive may help all members, not just the individual member. Kindest Regards, Darryl

Hi DeeJay,
Must admit they are certainly better looking machines opposed to the scrap metal and plastic sitting behind them. I just can't stand those cheapy diplomats etc.
Cheers, BB

Hi all at ODK, Just a bump up but also an update. Looking for any parts for these lovely machines both 520 and 720's. Anything at all from wheel caps to catchers, handles to height adjusters.
This OCD I have acquired is getting the better of me. Converted scott bonnar rotary and rover mower enthusiast.
