Hi all,

Can someone tell me what this Scott Bonnar would be worth and if parts would be available for restoration. I hope the photos in the Ebay add will give a reasonable indication.

As you would know, spare parts for all early Scotties are very thin on the ground and this model 'Queen is no exception...Sine the demise of Turf Machinery Services, I don't no of any source of parts...

I do know of a Bowling Club that had one of these to give away....but no takers; it went eventually for scrap metal...

Also of note, some Villiers parts are like hens teeth.
In my opinion, this machine would only be good to restore for static display purposes only, but at that price is expensive for a static resto.

Thanks Deejay.... My father has purchased a 1 acre block and is currently building a new home. I just came across this one and thought I would ask the question. I hope to find something in Brisbane and it would be handy to know what one would be worth. Deejay if I came across one that was in working order what do you think one would be worth.

Hi Guys,

This one has been one the market for quite some time now and is advertised in every possible medium, but as DJ has mentioned with parts now being pretty much obsolete it's not a good proposition. The last Queen in Adelaide sold for around $30 if I recall correctly.

I can see this one eventually going to scrap as well as the weight will return pretty much the last figure I've mentioned.

Very sad indeed.

BTW that small seat is an add on and nothing to do with Scott Bonnar at all.

I think this is an excellent proposition - as a vintage mower.
This machine presents as highly restorable and will increase in value.
It's complete and has the optional trailing seat.

I really hope this one will be saved.

All very collectable.

Hi Jack SBO and DJ,

This question is basically aimed at Jack, Do you think that the trailing seat is genuine, I understand that the paint is rather similar but it is rather agriculturally built and no proper turnable connection point, just a bolt going through two pieces of steel plate as a hitch ?

Here is the machine in question for when the link drops out and the auction is no longer active. From where I see it I'm almost certain that the trailing seat is not original SB equipment, rather a home made unit.
