Just a quick follow-up here, on how to find Tecumseh starter parts lists/diagrams on the
www.partstree.com website mentioned above - epartsnow is very similar. It can be a bit confusing...
First up, you need the
full model number from the engine.
For this one, from Jaffa's pic of the sticker, this is
TVS90-43722LOn the partstree parts page,
http://www.partstree.com/parts/ click on the Tecumseh logo
This takes us to a webpage with several options.
You can either click on one of the engine types [vertical or horizontal shaft], which will take you to a
very long list of model numbers.
Or you can take the shortcut on the left hand side, by entering the model number, in the format I've shown above:
This takes us direct to that model's page, which has these hyperlinks on it [as well as a part name search facility]:

This is where Tecumseh is a bit weird, to my mind. They don't regard the starter and carby as engine parts, but as 'attachments'.
So the 'Engine Parts Lists' only show/list these components as complete assemblies.
In this case, the diagram and list we want is the 'RS-590688' [RS= Recoil Starter] attachment.
Clicking on that link takes us to a page with a 'Recoil Starter' link [and a list of the engine models it was used on].
Click on that link, and we're there!

webpage with this diagram, and its parts list.
