Greetings Earthlings, I realize that this will not be accepted by most of you chaps but I am going to stick my neck out and stake my claim on the restoring ability of something that was given to me to drink. (Noo! I gave up the strong drink 34 years ago. LOL) I am only listing it because it has been a help for me and & I got all excited that it may help you. Time will tell of coarse but so far it has been two months and the item is not "dulling". I make no claim to it being scientifically proven but just that it worked for me. I have heard of many many remedies for faded plastic and have tried a few things that worked temporarily. I have researched on the internet and seen all sorts of gear that is supposed to do it but something as "nearby" as this has helped me save money. (ps: I looked for 30 minutes to find the right place to post this little tittle. So move it if it is in the wrong hole.) [Linked Image]

I had to read it 3 times to work out what you were talking about...lols Expensive way to redo plastic...Im sure it works fine, especially since its an oil But its also a soluble oil and will perish when weathered...I find lanolin and silicone work fine:) And btw I take fish oil every day for joint pain...and it works fine:) I reeally hope Im on the right track here cause im still not entirely sure what this post is about....My meaning being...what plastic did you actually rejuvinate? lols

Earthlings, At least I got your attention. he he. I have tried it on the car headlight lenses. (Only one lens that is, because that way I can have a "controlled experiment", right? ) I have also put it on a Mustang like "Brumby" collects. I also drank some but I would not recommend that, even though Blue says he takes it. (Drinking it reminded me of when we were little boys, we heard stories of children having to take castor oil!) Who said "Oils aint oils sol" Oh that was another oil sorry. Anyway, the plastic looks great.

ahh now it makes more sense lols...Ok Well I use auto polish,Maguires last from memory with great results...it clears the lense and lasts about a year:) I also know fellow humans who do it this way also. still love true lanolin for platics though. I also friction polish some blacks pa66 mostly and it brings it up like new...then the Lanolin!

Hi Blue HT,

You just can't go past Meguiars Automotive Paint Care products, they are the best in the world, I know as I used to work for them and couldn't endorse their products enough.

Cheers,
BB
