Hi Deejay,
No the cylinder and bedknife have not been sharpened recently. I made enquiries with Alroh when I was picking up some parts and their quote was pretty reasonable (if I dismantle and take in just the reel and bedknife rather than the mower as a complete unit).
However, this mower was bought for my father in law but and my test run shows it is a bit too big and heavy for him. I am now trying to decide if I keep or sell the mower and if I should sharpen the blade/reel if I sell. I bought a Diplomat 590 for him now that is a better size and weight.
If I do sell the Alroh I will then finish off the Diplomat rebuild and think about an SB45 for me.

Just a quick post to wrap up this topic. I gave the back lawn a full mow with the Alroh last week. The drive speed is at the lower end of 'spot on'. By that I mean it is great for a smaller area with many turns. I would however go with a 2.25" pulley (the original factory size) if I had very large open area to mow.
And on a final note the mower has been sold so I can put all my efforts and money into the Diplomat rebuild.
