Chris good to have you on as a member here.We can help and learn together. Let the fun begin. Well Chris I wish the very best of luck with your search as they are just one of the many on a list of very rare and hard to find parts. I have been searching for years now for a good one that is usable but all I came across so far was one that was very rotted out. Wasn't worth picking up. So I don't think I'll be able to help you with that as I'm currently chasing three myself.I don't like my chances of finding them, but still you could.I guess even if I found one I could make the others I need,I know they wouldn't be original but I wouldn't care. Good luck and once again
Here for a good time, not a long time.

cheers I am in the end stage of completing two 6 and 9 sheerlines and have found the hole process a lot of fun. I have found most parts I need, a lot of them nos. I am currently getting some axle parts laser cut so I can remake the axles. and new axle springs made.
my biggest hassle is the wheels, I have 4 sets of good second hand, but was hoping to fit nos.
1/2 the fun was in the hunt as they say.
I am restoring some mufflers to suit, but cant figure out what to do re the packing. another learning curve.

Yes and that's the hardest part.I have a couple Scott Bonnar 35's one has the side catcher and I need a second catcher,so that's the plan to copy the first one.As like with the Sheerline catcher.Although there would be more Sheerline catchers than Scott Bonnar model 35's.Only as there would have been more produced.I mean I could say no it's not an original but it's a copy of one.I know there are people out there that wouldn't say that but I could, and yet I'm finding out that there are other collectors that frown upon that and I can't work the out.I mean like one collector I was talking to some time ago about model 4 automatic parts (ie front flap and side guards) was telling me that he knew of somebody making repo parts.I said I'd be happy with that as I'd would never be able to afford the price that they sell for.Like one just one recently sold on eBay for $3056.96,I'll never have that kind of money to spend on that,so repo would be fine.He told me how much they ridiculed him for even making those parts,I just thought nice to have the money. After all most of us do this cause it is reasonably cheap. Anyhow sorry I've gone off topic, yes that would be good, and I guess if I could manage to find one (or six (Yeah that would be nice, never happen but would be nice) that maybe you would be happy with a copy? Either way let the search for a Sheerline catcher continue.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Hey Chris,
Welcome mate...
Ive got 2 model 6 going currently 1 original 1 modified.
Ive only seen 3 catchers come up in the last 2 years, and ive never seen an nos set of wheels for Sheerline,in fact Sheerline would have to be one of the hardest mowers to get NOS parts for. Just keep trolling Ebay and poking around.
Im only in need of front axle clips for my original, and I also need decent wheels, but like you said the fun is in the hunt and more often than not in time...we get rewarded for our efforts. Good luck and cant wait to see your progress images.

Sounds great, thanks Chris...Yeah stuff is around, just not a lot. Actually,I miss a fair bit of stuff as Im mostly to busy and concentrating on the resto Im currently doing at that time, and focus on the parts I require for that Job...and stuff just passes by:( Missed an Nos rear flap, and chute a while back,as I just forgot about it...Yeah I make my own axles to... Most things can be repaired or rebuilt, welded, plated and painted...its really only the tyres and sometimes the choke assy that im mostly after in restos, but I often rebuild those as well.
Thanks for the offer and heads up mate:)
