Hi all

I would like to see how people on here store their mowers & spares and would be VERY keen to see some ideas to conserve space...
Racks..shelves...boxes....????

I have been meaning to build mower racks for ages,but just havnt been able to find the time. I was offered mower racks from a shop years ago,but turned them down as I was just too busy to collect them.

While ive got no solutions currently with the exception of making provisions for 5 mowers (Specials and Roto 3's that fit perfectly under my workbench,The racks eventually will be my preference.

Also was going to make perfect fit fabric mower covers in green with the Sheerline/V or Special logo on the front to suit specials and rotomos as my wife is a Mean Sewer...But that too has been put in the to do basket as well

So racks for me...and the plastic containers from bunnnings/masters and the like store a lot of my parts and stack nicely.

I'm always on the lookout for storage ideas and solutions myself. I've only got a handful of rotary mowers which haven't caused me any storage issues so far. However my wife would like my collection of cylinder mowers to take up less space but I don't think racks will be easy with something of that weight and size.

I have a reasonable stash of car parts and like Blue, I use the plastic tubs and lots of shelving to store most. For those that don't need to be kept dust free, I use a lot of old milk crates and bread trays as they also stack very well and are quite sturdy. I grab them from the tip for $2ea.

yep the old milk crates are great ....
i guess im looking at more of a mower workshop set up....with organised storage for equipment and parts...

yes one day it will be racks for me also.
i currently have them stacked one atop the other each covered in an old blanket etc to minimise any damage. til i eventually get to them.
i was going to go with something similar to these ones ive seen on mybower.com and others too.
i especially like the fake lawn turf touch

Here are my shelves to keep the mowers I fix up from taking up too much space. Nothing fancy but they work well. I have the lip on the front as the shelves have a slight angle in them to make them easy to take off the shelf. If that makes sense!
The shelf fits 6 in total.

All mine waiting for repairs get kept outside. Sheer volume dictates this. There are rows from A to Q. and 10 in each row. Then there's the graveyard!
