Genuine or home made,its still an interesting piece... Prefer the green though. Question? Was it sold in the ebay Auction and the new owner restored it? I know MD restores mowers,so Im assuming its been restored fairly recently:)

Yes you are correct mate, MD bought it from eBay...An old bloke from Gatton in QLD made it and apparently was a bit of a wiz at fabricating things...
Basically he did not change anything that the old fella did, just cleaned the green off the alloy bits etc. etc. and just recently cleaned and repainted to the way he wanted it.

Regarding the 3 wheel design, there is some evidence to suggest that this type of machine were designed for use in cemeteries to mow the grass between the grave stones and plots, which explains the small cutting width.

Yes clearly a Wiz as it looks as if it could have been Production....Interesting info on the cemetaries Chris And Deejay as some plots are very close together,and the brushcutter/Trimmmer probably wasnt invented back then. Brings back memories of a cemetary I used to maintain in St Mary's....(Erm lets just say out of my charitable nature and not as punishment for a misguided Youth....lols). Nice to get a bit of a story behind why a Machine was modified for a specific purpose:)

The mower is home built just like a bought one you only have to look at the way it is built
