I have an ATCO 14" Suffulk engine mower with a Zenith carby. The problem is that the engine starts and runs for about 10 seconds then dies. I have cleaned the carby, put in new petrol and checked petrol is getting to the carby. I have also tried to adjust mix and idle screws in the 10 seconds but it still dies. Any help appreciated.

Any help on this problem - maybe a similar answer for other mowers could help me.

Wreader,

I have manual on the Atco 14" with 4/Stroke motor. It tells you what setting for the carby etc(21 pages). I can e-mail you the document but would have to charge $10-00 for scanning.

I know this is a really old post but I ran into a similar issue recently.

I found i had a heavily blocked fuel line and fuel tap.
