Once its tidied up and running (and had its axles straightened with some good wheels), It will either be dry stored or sold to the highest bidder on ebay, yet to decide on that though.

The new height adjuster that wasadded, is very intricate and works very well.... People dump stuff out the front of the scrapyard, technically its a nature strip, so its free pickings, I regularly dump carbodies there and lots of other scrap so its more of a barter system lol

It does look like someone has gone to some effort there, any chance you can pop up some close shot's of the work? It's not original of course, but anything that might give people help for idea's when things need a little handywork.

I just blasted the hell out of my one with my karcher, cowling was pretty close to avocado, base is a dark green and so were the handles. has some sort of spacers under the starter to make it fit. Just need a muffler and the a good plastic height adjuster part. It seems to have a unique type of wheel, less internal spokes than a normal utility wheel.

Most of my "gold" comes dumped on the side of the road at this scrappy, and when its not mowers I generally find a few good fridges to sell as well, sadly the yard has recently been taken over by a qld based indian metal dealer, who we havent been able to make a single deal on any of the vintage cars and trucks within the yard, offered 3 times scrap value for an old AP5 valiant and got knocked back.

Yep, the model 8 is getting wrecked out in favor of righting the wrongs done to the back of it. The height adjuster is a pissa, unscrew the pin, select your height and screw it back in, almost a shame to undo a great work of art there, a lot of thought and effert went into that.

I think those spacers under the starter might be fixed to the cowl, they seem familiar, as do the wheels, but the wheels seem to be more mid 60's to me. The hight adjuet is interesting thogh, not just a stick it down repair.

Its a bit hard with this one to work out whats exactly right or wrong as we only have pictures of the 4 of them, one will make an educated guess at making it look right lol
