I am in the process of restoring two Atco Cylinder Mowers, both of which are in good working order (thats the the easy part done).

I am looking for information where I can get Decals including the coat of arms on the grass boxes, manuals and any information on the correct paint colour schemes. Both mowers are green however I do not know which is the correct shade of Green (both are different).

The models are 1454/5 (2 stroke) and 2068R (4 stroke).

I am located in Sydney Australia.

Any information or assistance would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Dave

Thanks for the replies. I have managed to get hold of some decals in Australia and am now well on the way to finishing these projects.

Is there anywhere in Australia that deal in Atco mowers, new and used ? They seem to be reasonsably rare when it comes to spares.

I have contacted Atco in the UK and am awaiting a reply.

Regards,
Dave

Dave,
I noticed you said you mamaged to find a supplier of Atco decals in Aus. I wonder if you could tell me their name, as I am currently restoring some Atco mowers myself.

Thanks, Mark

I found that Rustic Spares in Kempsey NSW has decals in stock.

Try http://www.midcoast.com.au/~decals/

The decal Numbers are 65 and 65a.

Dave

I have a couple of grass catchers for atco mowers but they are to suit the 14" models. Please advise if this is any help.

Many thanks Bruce,

I am right for 14" catchers at the moment, although I am after a 20" catcher if you know of any ?

I actually came across someone on the weekend who has obtained a lot of the Genuine Atco parts from the last distibutor in Australia, including 3 x 14' Catchers and a huge 30" catcher all new with the original decals, boxes of cables, blades and cutters, fuel tanks etc.

The only part I am chasing at the moment is the recoil starter assembly for the 2068.

Regards,
Dave

You're right there, Joe, I think the horse might have bolted, so to speak! lol
However, seriously, we have a few members that are restoring Model 1450 ATCO's, and one just may have a spare catcher.

Being made of aluminium doesn't help, a lot of them were probably scrapped for the metal years ago. cry

Hi Tom, mate, you've got your prob re: "sans catcher" out there on the forum, if any member can help you they will post a reply....I have to tell you they are like "hens teeth".
If this makes sense, I know a mate who bought at auction, a complete ATCO, and paid serious dollars, just to get the catcher for the machine he was restoring...BTW, it is a beautiful machine these days. wink
Best of luck and best wishes,
cheers2
