Hi Steffan. The only full Greenfield owner manual, showing how to replace that belt, we have uploaded at present is the Evo 3 Mk 2A, but as far as I know, the drive belt setup is similar to yours. Here is the instruction sheet:

If you have problems please tell us - I probably won't know the answer, but we have a number of Greenfield enthusiasts here.

Yep , I got it on. But I found two puleys more. Between the flat idler puleys and the engine puley, are two more flat ones. I got it all together but I would like some one to tell me if this is the correct way, before I start it and the $60 belt is gone.
I try to make some pictures that i will post in an hour.
Thanks in advance, steffan.

We'll need those pictures, Steffan. There are two other idler pulleys which are part of the cutter belt system, but those ones should have the cutter belt running over them.

We need our Greenfield owners to get involved here - I can't understand those pictures well enough to know what I'm looking at.

I see that your mower has two pairs of idler pulleys, where the installation instruction drawing from the owner manual only shows one pair, so it seems your Greenfield is not the same as the one in the manual. What we need is for a Greenfield owner who recognises the setup in your pictures, to tell us whether you have it set up correctly. It looks to me as if it is probably right, so long as you have the correct side of the belt making contact with each pulley.

Thanks Grumpy, Yes it looks like if there is no other way. Its one goes on the back of the belt the other one on the thinner side of the belt. To me it looks like thats the way. The pulyes are different from each other one that fits the wider back of the belt and the other one fits the thinner front of the belt.

Lets hope for some one with the same mower. Gr Steffan

Hi Steffan,
the two pulleys near the engine are just directional pulleys to get the drive belt to align to the clutch unit. From the pictures above, it is all correct. Before starting you ride-on, push the notch bar down so the belt is tight and then reconnect the spring on the notch bar.

bit late to be of help, but yes can confirm your routing is correct.

The extra idlers are a result of the drive no longer being in the centre of that era mower, but the crank is. The extra idlers push the belt to that side of the mower in rough alignment with the drive pulleys.

Nearly guarantee its its an ideler pulley bearing, remove the belt and spin all idelers by hand. Your looking for a noisy or knotchy feel, seized or loose. Also check the drive plates. Check the motor is bolted down secure and check the adjuster pulley can slide freely.
