Hi all, I've had some Victa Tilt A Cut bits sitting around so I've decided to do a resto and get the machine going. It won't be anything over the top, just a tidy up to factory appearance. Here's the frame and blade guard sandblasted, the handle bars powder coated black and the height and tilt adjusters powder coated silver. ![[Linked Image from i95.photobucket.com]](http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l152/rolla_16v/IMG_6142A_zps7258e2ea.jpg) I hope to have the paint finished tomorrow so I can start reassembly. More pics to follow... Cheers, Michael

Wild!
I'm on the same mission.
Have you done the decals yet?
Did you think about redoing the zinc plating?

Hi Agro mick, I'm sticking to a fairly tight budget with this one so I didn't give a lot of thought to the decals or plating. Perhaps down the track I may look into the decals though I want to keep things to $100 or less and that includes the engine rebuild as well. Would love to see some pics of yours mate!

Rolla, Here is a few pics of my edger. The paint was finished this week by a mate so should be at the right price and I dropped the parts to be plaited off today the quote was $80 alone The decals have turned out really well I think. So far I'm in for $200, which includes the two bearings for the blade and new stainless bolts and a spark plug boot (don't tell the wife). The engine won't be touched as it has hardly been used. Yours is a different model a bit latter by the looks with a power torque engine. Cheers ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2013/10/full-6968-12838-image.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2013/10/full-6968-12839-image.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2013/10/full-6968-12840-image.jpg)

Hi Agro mick, thanks for posting the pics...your machine is the same as mine...the series 80 full crank and the early T-A-Cut white handles. on the work thus far; the chassis painted parts look amazing... Re: your decals, did you get the cowling decal reproduced as well? Here's a pic on mine... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2013/10/full-1147-12845-victa_tilt_a_cut2.jpg) Looking forward to seeing it all complete, mate,

Deejay,
Nearly the same but mine has the black handles and my wheels are different.
Yours is in great nic too.
The main decal I found out last night wasn't in the bundle I have received back so I will give them a call on Monday about it. My decal was almost mint so I hope the guy did copy it before it was removed for painting. If not I might require a good quality pic of yours.
Cheers

Deejay,
Is there any way you can get a good quality picutre of the tilt a cut decal, as per above?
As suspected my sticker guy missed it (I don't know how) so I need an original
Cheers

Wow! Thanks for the contribution and the pics guys! Agro mick on the paint work and the decals, it looks like an absolute professional standard, well done! I must admit I've been a little slack with mine but I'm getting there... ![[Linked Image from i95.photobucket.com]](http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l152/rolla_16v/IMG_6175A_zpsd0a652ca.jpg)

Wow great job rolla.
I pick up my bright work today from the plaiters so I'll take a photo of them.
You just need some decals and it would be perfect
Cheers

Thanks Mick Keen to see the photos mate! If i do another tilt a cut in the future, I'll get some decals done. This one was really just a budget slap together of some old parts I had lying around. The other power torque model in the above pictures sold for $150 as soon as I advertised it, and then yesterday I came across this for $25 and couldn't pass it up. It had a split in the fuel tank so I replaced it with this spare tank and cowl. Ironically I looked for ages to find a cheap tilt a cut without luck but now they seem to find me. ![[Linked Image from i95.photobucket.com]](http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l152/rolla_16v/IMG_6254A_zpsd106861c.jpg) Michael

It never rains but it pours mate, congrats on getting another one Just yesterday we stumbled accross an huge amount of abandoned cars on an old farm, we have free roam as long as we pay better than the scrappers (within reason on some of them) then someone pulled up this morning offering another property to clean up at the same prices. VERY busy few weeks coming up I think...

vccomm - I used to live in Adelaide so I can relate I would've thought being out Gawler way you'd have a bit more luck though? Joe - You're spot on, literally at times here in QLD! I love it when a big score comes up like that. I buy and sell a lot in the way of older or hard to get car parts and do quite well out of it. There's more money to be made than there is with mowers, and a much bigger market. Still, I can't help myself if I see a bargain mower (or edger). Good luck with the clean ups! Michael
