I am thinking of purchasing an ECHO VS2100 vacuum but would like some first hand advice with these machines. I have had a lot of trouble with vacuum bags in the past (zippers blowing) and would like some assurance that these vacuums are reasonably tough and long lasting. Has anyone had any experience with this model? Many Thanks Robyn

RobynS,
The machines that you would have had trouble with would have been Ryobi and Talon but as to the echo I have never had to replace a bag because of the zip.

Hi Robyn, I think you will find the echo vacs actually have a white (well when new) inner bag that fits inside the black outer bag. The reason for this is primarily as a secondary dust filter, it is also able to be washed and also gives the zip some added protection from dust etc. I have had one for nearly five years, have never had a problem with the zip or outer bag but have replaced one inner bag (easily available from your echo dealer). But thanks Ricardo and Joe for the heads up...I will now lock this topic.
Please do not PM me asking for support. Please post your questions in the appropriate forums, as the replies it may receive may help all members, not just the individual member. Kindest Regards, Darryl
