I can't tighten the screw anymore, what can you do to make it air tight?

There are gasket sealants out there, not sure if they work well with petrol, anyone had any experience with them?

Tiger,
to set up the G3 carb governor remove the little cover to expose the bevel and pinion gears , hold the throttle arm and governor arm in line with the gear cover screw holes , if the gears are set correctly there should be one tooth of the beval gear visible to the right of the pinion gear.remove beval gear and adjust as needed, make sure that the butterfly is shut when adjusting the gears

Thanks Mitch, did pretty much as you've explained, only thing is not sure that i had the butterfly shut when adjusting. Really appreciate your help on this one.

this should solve your issue or at least give some amount of control, the position you set the gears up in is the stop position so its necessary that it be closed on setup.

Hi Mitch, have got throttle control so can control the manic revs now, when i get close to full throttle it still revs a little too high for my liking.

You should now be able to adjust rpm with the little gears set under the vane there
is a marking there when lined up that's factory setti.g

Hi Gents

I have a mark 3 victa utility 160cc mower. I have looked at this page but note that mine has the white governor vane. It used to run fine but at the moment is is either running around idle or then at high revs. i have adjusted several times but just cant get it right. does it show the correct position in the repair manual (happy to buy) unless there is a set of fotos that show the adjustment.
Appreciate any further assistance.

Thanks
