|
hi to all this is my first post i have a problem that someone out there might have encounted i have a rover supercut (turbothrust) self propelled that doesnt move fast enough it seems to be chain driven. my question is can you adjust something to make it go faster or are they set at a governed speed .maybe a change of motor etc would help. any help would be greatly appreciated.cheers

Now the situation with increasing speed on your 20" self propelled mower can be fixed with a speed up kit. The problem is to find someone that still has one. I will check with some people but not holding great hope.

Hi Bill, and thanks for posting the pics. As Bruce (forum owner and site administrator) has said in the previous post, he is looking to find a speed-up kit for your machine. Lets hope one is available for you. It is a nice looking machine.

Bruce, what does the speed up kit look like or comprise of? I have a wreck of one of these thats going to be pulled down very shortly.

Hi Joe, it is a smaller sprocket that alters the ratio, and speeds up the ground it covers over the grass...Bruce is looking for the part numbers as we speak...if you find any info Joe, Please PM Bruce...Thanks mate, Darryl

further to my original post if the speed up kit is not available i was thinking of changing the self propelled to a push mower, as the base and fittings are in excellant conditions my question is do i need a new replacement engine and do i need to replace rear wheels and rear axle thanks for your help .cheers
