Hey guys,

As I mentioned in the intro page, I've got many mowers which I've inherited and I'm trying to find out a little about each one.

Here's one I pulled out yesterday.

Thank you for any info you have smile

Corvette 2 Models 69VB-123 and Models 70VB & 71VB victacode V65. Sorry I can't be more specific as to which model as they were all the same to look at,and seeing as yours was made in 1970 then it is covered in all those models. Here I'll show you what I mean.

The engines also for all models were the same even down to three different air cleaner were on all three models. So sorry but that's the best I can do. Victa just didn't make them any different to tell them apart from one another.I can due to the engine number that the model number of the engine is 5700 which (As I said before is from 1970) and that puts in down to either model 70VB or 71VB.I'm just guessing due to the 70 appearing again it that I think it would be the 70VB.
You do appear to be missing the front part of the cowl.
Hope this helps you out.

Blumbly you're a champ! More than enough info. Thank you!

Is there a market out there for these? Say for people wanting to restoring them? I'd rather see it go to someone who can fix her up than chuck her out.

Just 10 mins ago I found the same model of corvette completely stripped to peices on the side of the road, scooped up all the bits and peices and took them home.

Well yeah I suppose there is collectors out there that would want to do them up ( I guess I'm one of them). There was a fair few of them made and still see them around a little (usually on the back of the scrappy's truck)(Mongrels they are, just in it for the money).I think I currently have one and a half of them.If it was the model before that one I'd be all over it.

Yeah fair enough. I just found another in the shed. Same model but cleaner and complete. I'm only scratching the surface in this shed, there may be more as I get through it.

I'm back out there Tuesday so ill post up some pictures of it with the serial. I also found a random mower, no name except for a serial on the front badge. Looks older than the others. Ill post up the pictures when I get on my computer tomorrow.

Wow is right! lols. Well deduced Blumbly! smile If its Not a HG Palmer, then I dont know what is! HG Wheels+caps, height adjust,Handles.

This would be the only 4 stroke HG Palmer ive ever seen...Definately A Villiers 4 stroke,Seemingly correct X coding. I dont know much of this engine, dont even know if it had a name. Torque Major was the smaller 4 stroke and Torque Master the 2 stroke...Maybe this one is Torque Monster? lols Others may know this engine better as I know it was fitted to the Scott bonnar 47 also. Shes running the Sure Start" impulse which would be period for this mower...Going on styling and other bits,I would place this mower around the 1962-65 era...And almost Cetainly an "HG Palmer Dept Store 4 Stroke" (Or Slightly Possible, another Dept stores generic mower). What you thinking Blumbly? We on the Money???... Not the most appealing machine,But quite Unique. As I dare say not many would have seen one...Thanks for showing us Skappo....I know youll ask value and rarity lols,so ill answer now. Rarity VERY. Value....Not much:(...or whatever someone will pay for it,maybee a Hg Palmer lover would value this machine smile

Well Yes I was thinking HG Palmer but I was basing that off the wheels and handle bars as yes the engine through me completely off as I haven't seen one before.

Hey guys,

Been out west for a while but back home to find this one hanging out the back of the shed. Because of it's condition, my dad and I are thinking of doing it up. Looks identical to the first except for the front cowling and the serial.

Hi Dmitr,

The black and white pages are from the Victa green books as used in Victa dealerships, they are the spare parts bible. The two folders are very large and would be a real challenge to scan and upload.

All the best

Hello dmitr
Welcome to these great and extensive forums.

This is not a great topic page in that it jumps from Victa to
a HG Palmer machine. In any case ...

Many extracts from these Victa manuals are available on ODK now!
Please tell us what model and year you are interested in.
It may be that information is already here.

The Blue Search Bar (top of page) is a good start.

Hope this helps.

Hello dmitr

Alright. Happy to help out but I want to point out the complexity in all this.
You have asked for a lot here.

The Green Books are not set out covering models sequentially.
The manuals are divided into sections and caution should be taken
in reading them. They require interpretation.

Here, I cover the 2-stroke Corvettes from 1968 - 1972.

The gallery images are the key.
I have used yellow highlights for this.
I will attach pdfs of detail in the next post.

Hope this helps.
