Got a phone call yesterday for a pick-up of seven mowers.Wow I think I got somebody's rubbish. There all not in great shape. So all will be wrecked out for parts. If anybody needs something off them just let me know.
Here have a look for yourself.
[Linked Image]
The Victa 2 stroke turns over, fairly well.Would need some work to get going. The Rover 4 stroke however different story.Dead R.I.P,seized.
[Linked Image]
The Suzuki engine would turn over except some one has beaten the engine cowl with a hammer and bent it to the flywheel.I'd say savable. The Masport sort of turns over but very tight, very close to seizing up totally.
[Linked Image]
This 80 series full crank 160cc rock solid seized bugger.Hopefully I can get something off it.
[Linked Image]
This Morrison seems to be the best engine here turns over quite well.I'm assuming that this engine is a Tecumseh?
Also this Rover 4 stroke Briggs is another of the better ones.Turn real well.

Couple of catchers

You can see here on the Suzuki the starter has been damaged by some with their screw driver.

Even with that slightly damaged recoil that Suzuki is a very good engine and If it turns over I'd fix the recoil and put it on another base or keep it on the Rover base..

Any way you shift it mate, It's wort the whole lot just for the Suzuki!

Sorry nathan I pulled that one apart today to see what I could get off it.The cowl had a large piece from the front missing and when I went to pull it off the cowl was so brittle that it just fell apart. So no good. However I have two other cowls, but they are white not black. If you want I can see them off as I'm not going to use either one.

Also Kori I have no interest in these Suzuki's,I would just prefer to see them go to someone who could make good use of them.I have enough mowers in my collection these are all just excess stock to me.

Is it the same cowl as that one.I thought power plus ones were a bit bigger? If that is right I can dig it out and take some pictures for you.

If its no hassle some pics would be good. Cause the one on that mower looks like it would work on the mower I got

Not a problem I thought you'd want the Suzuki 2 stroke.I'll pull the engine of the Masport base so it will be ready when you are.It will need another top part of the handles as it has just about rusted all the way at one point. You can see it here in this picture.
[Linked Image]
Although that is a picture of the Victa (Most likely a silver streak) the handles in the picture is the Masport handles. You can see just below the cable tire that rust hole is all the way around.
I'm assuming you want everything else from the Masport?

OK nathan I was wrong it's not white it is another black one. However it was originally made for a side starter. It is in good condition.

All the moulding under the cowl for the starter is there. The only thing is the hole for the rope would have to be drilled. So it has never had a starter under there.Let me know if this suits. If so we will do it via PM.

I need a cover for a starter if that makes sense. The mower I got looks like this [Linked Image]

So does that cowl not have a starter built in? Hope that makes sense lol

No the cowl doesn't have the start mech under it but it has all the right moulding under it.So it could be put under it,the only problem would be to drill a hole in it for the starter cord to go through. That wouldn't be hard to do.Then it would work with the starter. It came of a side starter, but it could be fixed up to use the starter. It would fit onto that mower.

If I looked around I should have it from the other cowl that broke on me.

Decided to pull apart the Victa 2 stroke tonight.Wow I don't think I have ever pulled apart a mower so rusty before.Take a look.
[Linked Image]
That's a lot of oxidation going on there.Would you believe it the engine seem OK.It tries to turn over the only reason it doesn't is there is so much flaky rust on the flywheel that the magnet has collected that it can't turn over all the way.I pulled the starter of and there is still oil in there. So I'm going to save the engine,as it is the Australian made power torque.
[Linked Image]
The bolts holding the engine on,only two I could undo. The other two the heads fell apart,I had to chisel through the rust to get the engine off.
