Nice find there, I have most of the vortex series, including a mark 2 of most of them. Just for the record though you have been supplied with the wrong catcher; that catcher would suit a Victa Monaro high arch or similar. A vortex catcher is more like this... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2013/02/full-2055-9906-dsc03750.jpg)

Nice find there.I'm still up in arms as to whether I want one or not,but yours looks fairly good indeed. As far as I know they only came in Red and Yellow, but then there where the GTS's. Which means Guaranteed To Start (yes that was Victa's big selling point with them).I had one that I couldn't bring with me (Just didn't have the room)it was grey base with Red cowl, and they also had the yellow cowl. There was also a GTS that had a White base and I think white cowl.Joe help me out here,I can't remember anything else,or I could be wrong about the white.I think Joe has one.I think (and I hope Joe will correct me if I'm wrong)there was a Mustang in there as well that was the same style. So I mean if I started with one I would want the whole set, just how I roll I guess. So yes I think only two Vortex's but heaps that are similar.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Nathan, you're freaking me out, The white one is definately a Mustang GTS, i know because i bought and sold that mower in your photo (with the "bud" sticker on it) about 6 months ago. It actually cleaned up real nice. I think the main difference between the vortex's is the blade disk, the earlier ones had a large diametre disk with about 10 upturned flaps(much like a late model 4 blade mulch and catch disk) on it with a really short set of blades. The later ones had the standard sized oval disk with a rubber/plastic skirt bolted to it to increase its diameter and give the "vortex" effect. They really are a beautiful mower to mow with but one man can only keep so many toys. *sigh*, "oh how i miss my gold victa supreme".

See that's what I'm talking about kori. They only came in two colours. Have a closer look at the picture you put up of the white one. It is a mustang GTS,thanks for that it confirms what I said. They look similar but are not vortex's they are GTS's.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Could you upload some pictures here as we'll. I think I may have some articles on my computer about them. I'll see if I can find them when I get home.

![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2013/02/full-2055-9913-dsc04197.jpg) Also have the marlboro racing team mustang gts, unfortunately the decals have died just more or less making it a normal white mustang.
