Yes very good. We will have to compare when mine is done. I think I have finally found one as well. Have to go and pick it up this afternoon. I do believe mine however has a trashed base.

hey blumbly .
Hope you have gotten hold of one !
and yes we will have to compare them.
ive been going off the pic of the n.o.s pic's that are on the site.
only real issue is air cleaner which isnt a big issue. and wheels with gud tread.
make sure you send me some pics when you pick it up as i may be able to get you some cast patches for it. hope so to get full body re productions.

Yes I did get one. It's not great but I have another base for it. So it should restore quite well. Have a look under active topics you will see my thread there about it.

Hello tomo4192, Kye and S-B

This is a top-level restoration and it looks sensational!
Good illustrative images too.

Introduced in late 1963 for the 1964 Victa Range, this
was the economy side-discharge model.

I love the cowling and airbox filter on this model.
Wouldn't it be awesome to find a matching side-catcher.

Do you have any paint colour information for the handle and base?

Defiantly economy model with the way the bases fell apart very rare to get a good one I actrully had to cast a whole new base.
The handles are a colour bond green I'll picture the cans
The cowl and engine stuff is galmet hammered green and the base was believe it or not victa green from the local paint shop

Did you actually cast a base?

Thats awesome! Did you knock up a spare one while you were at it? Did he tell you what it would have cost? I have an old base thats going to be a challenge to weld.
