Well, it seems you have to understand just what is keeping it from moving just a small amount in the required direction. You have one big advantage in this: you know it is possible without modifying anything, because it was done before.

What is preventing it from moving is in the previous pictures. Metal on Metal not allowing it to move any further. I am going to take a hammer to it this morning to see if i can bend the metal enough to just get it in. Old ride-on something may have moved over time. (started typing this this morning)

Okay have just got my brain back online and have now removed the entire drive system. Far easier than i thought, would have made my life so much easier over the last few days.

More pictures to come

Okay things have gone a little better today. Learnt a big lesson, i originally just pulled the drive discs out the back of the machine, it would have taken me an additional 3 minutes to have removed the whole drive system instead.

Due to the fact that i took no photos at the start of this little mission i have got a misplaced spring. I swear it was working off the brake rod but can not figure out where. If any one could upload a picture of a rover rancher auto drive it would be great so i can see if i can spot it.

Picture below shows spring on the left hand side. And no that is not where it belongs ive tried putting it in a few places.

I think ill be enjoying a few beers tonight if i can get this one last spring sorted out.

I don't think mine is the same model but here is a couple of photos. The spring laying on the chassis is the outer one for the height adjuster and goes under the right rear guard.

I'm about to tear the back out of this one as the forward reverse lever needs to be welded back up.

Don't know if you ever figured it out or not, but that spring goes on the belt auto adjuster, the triangular toothed piece with the red mark on it, and hooks to a vertical bar that pokes up above the body work at the rear under the seat.

Would anyone have a step-by-step in how to achieve this :

I have it to where the body is half suspended and the autodrive is hanging down, but I can't for the life of me get the whole assembly out? I have undone the 3 bolts either side and the one larger one either side and removed the belt. What else is there???
