I'm trying to identify an old Montgomery Wards chainsaw. I do have pictures available if anyone is interested. I'm interested in identifying and rebuilding the engine. I've taken the engine apart and it is quite evident that the needle roller bearing, pistonrod/crank, went dry. Are parts still available? I've been told that McCullock piston rods are gold in color and this one is. Is this true? I have stamped #'s on the piston, piston rod, ect... Any assstance is appreciated.

Your chain saw is more likely to be a "Remington" than a McCulloch. McCulloch never sold the "rights" to Montgomery Wards To Put their name on their Saws. mk.farnam@gateway.net
