Gday Fellers
Ive a 14" scotty reel mower Im doing up
Im wondering if there is a right n left side to the rear roller drive barrel
On mine there is some holes in both end plates of the roller but one end of the rollers there is two extra holes which two bolts pass through holding a metal object seem it might be a counter weight
Is this the case and if so which side of the mower should it be on the right or left as you stand with the handle bars in hand
or the chain drive side
I thought is may be to sort of counter act the touqe of the motor through the drive side , as massive as it can be from such a powerful motor or indeed to compensate for the weight of the motor

Hi Red, the drum weight goes on the right hand side as you stand with the handle bars in hand.
There is a thread on the use of the drum weight, I will see if I can find it. wink
cheers2
