Well my neigbour has givin me it. So far i have a engine in bits. Its a impulse start. N i havnt seen the cowl yet. Altho the engine block n parts are a dark green /olive colour an im also hoping to have the base soon as its still under his house lol. From the original gasket sets he brought for it in 82 it says something like sunbeam 98 or 99cc kirby does that ring any bells??

Sorry man not a Sunbeam man only had that one as it was a mower I had to pick-up.As when I was in Canberra I had adds all over the place to pick-up old mowers. So I don't know much about them at all. That one had a 125cc Victa engine on it,not even sure if it was the original engine.Ty or Bob would properly be one of the better guys to help you out.Sorry I can't help. They may of had Kirby's on them but I don't know.

Yes I had a feeling it had been changed.I guess that's why I wrecked it.It was a shame as the base was [Censored] good, but nobody wanted it.So the base went to scrap and catcher to landfill sad but I had to move.I still have the engine.I think I have it on you-tube running.

Jeffrey yours has th muffler from a vc mustang with that extra metal bit on it. I also had one the same as pictured above however it had been outside so long everything was siezed from the wheels to the engine handles and height adjustment.
In the shed I do have another variant of this motor, im pretty sure its a yellow cover with "sunbeam tiger" on it, also has black stripes on it.

Mine is pretty much the same as the ones above. Engine cover is metal. Different to the green motor.
The orange plastic was also used on the later high arch base. Same engine.
If yours is a Kirby motor or not victa its probably a good one to have, will certainly have some age about it.
