Yes well you don't want to leave it like that you might end up with a cutting disc in your foot. That wouldn't be nice.

thanks blush i'll try n get a better pic of the ring though as im sure it shouldnt have a cut just in front of the right rear wheel ? missing the tab on one side too ( didnt need it ) bolt sheared off years ago . no evidencs of paint under the tabs either ! just bright metal confused been covered in oil for all those years but its ok just havto get some filling weld done then stripped properly and primed . the link deejay sent were the right colours ? alpine green top and avocado for the base that i'm yet to find

No there shouldn't be a cut in the ring.I'm not sure on what colour they should be as I haven't got that far yet.I mean I haven't started restoring them yet as I have about 10 mowers that I started but have had to put them on hold or this [Censored] move.So sorry I can't help there yet.I usually take to a sample to a paint shop here in Fyswick there is a young bloke there who colours matches for me.So far he has been spot on.

Not a problem.Hopefully will get the crank out tomorrow.[Censored] it has given me a very large thumb now.Still throbbing.I think my hammer miss took it for the bolt.[Censored] hammers that get confused.
