ive just finished putting the engine on the auto drive back together. the problem im having is on trying to start it all in get is like a "pop" sounds as though it's firing, but i just cant put my finger on the problem, all wires and tubes are in place.
Have you played with the timing at all? If you have removed the ignition system chances are it has not been set correctly. What else has beem taken apart? is the throttle butterfly open at all when you are trying to start it, an incorrectly adjusted govenor will result in the butterfly being shut and no throttle for it to start with.
The butter fly valve is open, but i have taken off the ignition, I'm guessing that's where my problem is, I've bought a ignition module to hook up I haven't figured out how to hook it up.
