Hi guys,
I just picked up a Talon Surefire 145, Model AM3046 s/hand. The guy said it had just a broken pull cord..easy fix.
However once replaced and filled with fuel I noticed a fule leak. I traced it to the carb. Closer inspection I found the carb had been taken apart...worst of all it's missing the float spring and float hinge pin. He had a nail for the pin..lol. Anyhow I'm trying to find parts for this carb and a parts diagram to make sure nothing else is missing. I can't find any info on "a Wisdom 7E18 P18/P18B carb". Can anyone help?

The carburetor is probably a near-clone of a major brand of carburetor. If you post pictures of it there is a good chance someone will recognise it.

I have a talon mower of a customers in at the moment, it has worn out valve guides and rings (no bull, the exhaust valve has 5mm of play when open side to side, and as soon as the engine warms up it dies as it expands just enough to lose compression.) and I told them to get a new one, if they dont want the talon back I will sell some the carby off it, this one had a broken starter too, I crafted up a way of mounting a briggs starter and solved the problem properly.

Similar to a honda carb, not the same, hondas never used a primer as far as I have ever known, they always seem to have a choke.

Honda carburetors on the OHV models tend to be Keihin, but the one in your picture seems too different to try to interchange parts (I might be wrong). I suggest you either pick up a junked Talon (seems like you'll need plenty of parts if you intend to use it), or PM Joe to see if he can help you with a carburetor.

Yeah.... Look for a junked talon or other honda copy mower to take parts off..... because if what I've heard about talons is true, you'l need plenty of parts. Kori

The closest match for that carb is a GV150 honda.
Dont bother trying to fit something else. Theres plenty of busted Talons about, even a few worn out ones too by the sound of it.
Ive got a heap of Talon bits here. I rarely fix them because they are gutless crap.
