I am not sure what you are asking here, are you trying to fit a G3 to a motor that originally had a plastic carb or something else?

The problem with your throttle sticking is sue to the extreme bend in that snorkel tube, anyhow From memory it might fit with the plastic barb removed, but it will not have a decompressor port there. To utilise the decompressor with a g3 carb it needs a earlier cylinder fitted.

You may have issues with size, I can't remember for sure what the size difference is, however the biggest Issue I forsee is the decompression valve.
On the G4 powered machines, the decompression line attaches to the carby, however on the G3 machines it attaches to a mettal nipple coming from the inlet and not the carby.
So if you pop the G3 across, you won't be able to link up the decompressor.
To overcome this, you could remove the decompressor and block the hole with an old spark plug, or you could transfer the cylinder, piston and rings from the VC-160 to the VC-Mustang along with the carby.
Cheers Ty

Somone else has fitted that snorkel tube, originally I would imagine the carby was 180 degrees around, (primer cap in) with a remote primer coming back out.
I am pretty sure the metal sleeve coming out of the cylinder is the same size, its been a while since I built someting out of what was lying around though, Generally I just fiddle with whats there....

Joe is right, that carby has been turned around.
You could change it back, I think I have a spare "Primerless" face here somwhere, you just pop off the carby, fit the grey primerless face upside down, then fit the carby upside down on the bayonet.
Alternatively, I'll see if I have a remote-primer face and button, same procedure as above, you just then need to fit the remote button and vacuum line.
Cheers Ty

If you are using it, leave that primer face on it.
You will be able to work out or feel for the primer button.
Flipping the carb back the right way will fix your throttle cable isses im tipping.
But you may have issues with the fuel hose and the stop wire lengths.
Before you do anything, hit it with a big load of degreaser and the garden hose.
