Hi Everyone;
I have a potential problem with the Auto transmission on an MTD Yardmachine 17/42 ride on (Black one).
Model number 13AK608G129 serial 1E230H10142.
The transmission has started making a loud "click" which can be felt through the seat when starting to move after changing to either forward or reverse. Once the machine has been moving in either gear it doesn't make the noise until the other gear is selected.
The noise has been getting louder even though I have not been mowing with it. I am in the process of doing it up and have only been "test driving" it around the yard.
I am totally unfamiliar with the transmission (I dodn't even know how to check the oil!) and would much appreciate any help that can be offered.

Hi Rob, and a warm welcome to the forum. It's great to have you aboard.  I'm glad you got to post your question in the correct area...the "Shout Box" does come in handy sometimes!!  I am not familiar with ride-ons...however with the info you have provided (a pic of the machine will come in handy as well) I'm sure someone here will be able to give you good advice...
