heres my scotty which i was lucky enough to come across. it runs fairly well and i gave it a quick backlap yesterday and it cuts like a dream.

gizmo on scoring a great little Model 45 there mate.
She's an oldie, and if you can post the complete set of numbers stamped into the air cowling on the Briggs, we can tell you the date that it was manufactured; that will give us the approximate age of the chassis.
You should consider replacing the red plastic plug that is missing from the chain case cover...that will stop grass and dirt entering the chain case...
Can you please also take some pics from different angles and a couple of the chain case with the cover removed and some close-ups of the sprockets where they are not covered by the chain.... this will enable us to give you some advice on the condition of the chains and sprockets.

I am looking for a side cover for this type of B & S motor, it's on my Scott Bonnar 14", the lugs that hold the starter rope pulley have broken off I have only one lug left. I was told by the local mower shop I can not buy these any more. Could someone tell me were I may purchase one.
