Hi Stew, unfortunately we don't have any info on the infamous edger as the prototype didn't work and was deemed dangerous and was never produced...as far as I know; no drawings or any info exist, but I did hear once that it was to be friction driven from the lower exposed crank-shaft by a right-angle drive and a rubber wheel....
Here is a pic of a Victa 18 Special at the Victa museum in Inverell with a home-made bodgy one ...look closely behind the Victa Automatic in the immediate foreground....
