Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your help with posting. The other day I was mulching some branches I had trimmed, and the mulcher stopped working. The motor was still turning but the bldes and disc had stopped being turned by the motor. On closer inspection a chrome central bolt had unscrewed. However even with this screwed back in itstill dosen't turn the blades. Help please?

What I want you to do is take the blade boss off(the thing that the blade attaches to the shaft) and on the shaft will be a key that will have sheared off. You will have to replace the key and also check the flywheel key as it also could have broken as well.
